The Benefits of Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been practiced for over 3000 years and is medically proven to help in the treatment of certain conditions.
Acupuncture works on the principle that any pain or illness occurs when the Qi (pronounced Chee) or energy in your body has been disturbed. Acupuncture needles are inserted around your body’s ‘meridians’ or ‘channels’ to improve the flow of the Qi and to help your body heal itself. Acupuncture is one of the most popular and widely accepted complimentary therapies and can be used to treat a wide range of symptoms.
What Can it Help With?
Acupuncture can be used to treat situations where a patient is experiencing pain, and also to promote health and wellness. It is particularly effective with a range of muscular pain, backache, headache and toothache.
Acupuncture is now more popularly used to try and improve facial appearance and to help as part of a programme to lose weight or stop smoking.
